Our new maps of the 3rd and 4th floors were designed by Ken Tiessen and Tracey Frugoli. Although not all of the artists in residence at the Murray Center choose to publicize their studio locations, our cooperative group of artists (aka "the artists at the murray center") are friendly and eager to help you find your way. We know that the hallways can be confusing and little bit intimidating if you are unfamiliar with the building. We hope these maps, posted throughout the 3rd and 4th floors, will help you. In addition we will have these fun arrow signs posted.
Come visit us during the First Fridays Artist Studio Tour of the Central Illinois Artist Organization (CIAO). Many of the artist at the Murray Center are members of CIAO. For a complete list of CIAO members and locations see their website at http://www.ciaopeoria.com/. We are a group of fine artists who maintain studios in the vibrant and storied Murray Building--lately dubbed the Murray Center for the Arts. We come together to host events that open our studios to the public. In addition to making and selling art, some of us teach classes, host focused art groups, and/or offer opportunities for the public to make art in our studios.
